If the information indicated as required is not provided, we might be unable to process your user registration or allow the use of certain Services available on the Platform.

- Log data: When you access the Teachable, we may collect certain information about your device and your use of the Platform, such as your IP address, browser type, and version, and the pages you visit. We may collect information about your location when you use the Platform. This information is collected by Google Analytics Teachable, and is used for analytical purposes only.
- Specific to mentorships, we use Teachable as our applications process, and will therefore store date such as your full name, country of residence &, portfolio link

- Email addresses: If you choose to join our mailing list and provide us with your email address, we will use it to send you updates and information about our Platform.
- To create your profile on the Platform you may include personal information such as your profile picture, full name and email address.
- To buy our courses, mentorships, portfolio reviews or products, you will be required to enter your credit card or debit information, including expiration date and CVV on the Teachable platform.
- The Teachable platform uses Stripe payment processing services. These services will protect your data and comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS). Lunar Academy Limited will not hold your payment information. If you request an invoice, we will request your invoicing data if needed.
- When you visit or use our Services, we register data such as frequency of use, date, and time Services were accessed, when you see or click a specific content, your course preferences, projects you are sharing or content you publish. We use information when you log in, when you read our emails, and Internet Protocol ("IP") addresses to identify you and register your use in the Platform.
We do not make decisions based on profiles, beyond personalisation of advertisements and for the legitimate prevention of Internet fraud.
Lunar Academy, as the Data Controller, will process your personal data for the following purposes:
- To contact you through email regarding updates or information related to features, products, or services contracted, including Platform security updates, as long as they are needed or reasonable. When we send you newsletters and Services or use the email you have provided us to contact you individually or to recognise you when you return to visit our website, we are doing so under informed consent.
- To respond to any request or inquiry you make through the customer service channels available.
- How you use our website (analytics). For example, we use your information to generate aggregated non-identifying data. For instance, to generate statistics regarding our users, their jobs or areas of expertise, number of impressions or clicks in a specific course or project or visitor demographics.
- When you contact us by email, telephone, post, via this website or social media to enquire about our services.
- To understand your needs, how they may be met and share relevant features, products or services with you now and in the future.
- To process applications for our mentorship program.
- To provide you with specialist services and fulfil our contractual obligations as set out in our Master Service Agreement and Mentorship Agreement.
- To manage your registration as a Platform user, to identify you and give you access to Services available for registered Platform users.
- For the development, compliance and execution of the contract for the provision of services such as the sale of Lunar Academy courses, mentorship, portfolio reviews or any other contract or service we might offer through the Platform. You will need to keep in mind that:
You expressly authorise us to process the data, as indicated and required for activation and payment processing.
The consent for the activation of this feature allows your data to autofill in future purchases, so you do not need to re-enter payment information every time you make a purchase. The data entered will be assumed valid and current in future purchases. You will be able to modify or delete your debit or credit cards at any time through the Stripe payment platform.
The card's security code (CVV or CVC) will only be used to process the purchase of the Service and will not be stored or processed afterwards, as part of your payment information.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your Personally Identifiable Information to others.
If you have agreed to receive marketing correspondence, you may always opt out at a later date. If you no longer wish to be contacted for marketing purposes, please let us know.
The provision of Lunar Academy's Service might entail the use of your personal data, with your express consent, to make available to you personalised advertisement related to our products and services, through emails or other electronic communication means from us or third-party collaborators. To improve our services, please know that personal information regarding your purchases, interests and preferences might be used by Lunar Academy for the purpose of analysis, user profiling, marketing studies, quality surveys, and improving interaction with our clients.
If you do not want to receive certain types of email communications, you can opt out when signing up at Teachable. You can also manage your preferences by accessing the Notifications section in your profile on teachable Teachable.
We will retain your personal data for as long as we have a valid contractual relationship, and after that, for the period determined by any obligations arising from the treatment of the data or as established by law.
To comply with the purposes indicated in this Privacy Policy, it might be necessary to report or release your personal data to third parties for the following reasons:

If you choose to sign up for any courses, all payments will be made through Teachable. Payment information may be solely stored on Teachable for automatic payments until you choose to cancel your Account. In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or us. So, if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located. Once you leave our Site or are redirected to a third-party website, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our Terms of Use.
We use Stripe for payment, analytics, and other business services. Stripe collects and processes personal data, including identifying information about the devices that connect to its services. Stripe uses this information to operate and improve the services it provides to us, including fraud detection and prevention. We use Shopify for all merchandise payments, analytics, and other business services related to the sale of merchanisde. We use MailChimp (owned by Intuit) for our marketing communications. Intuit’s Privacy Policy (https://www.intuit.com/privacy/statement/) describes what personal data it processes and how it is used. MailChimp processes your data in accordance with Intuit’s Privacy Policy. MailChimp’s servers are based in the United States, so your information may be transferred to, stored, or processed in the US. MailChimp participates in and has certified its compliance with the EU- U.S. MailChimp’s privacy shield certification permits this transfer in accordance with GDPR. Our website uses the service Calendly to facilitate portfolio review arrangements and scheduling. Calendly may collect certain information during your use of our website to enable you to make appointments. This includes data such as your name, email address, telephone number and specific appointment preferences, if any. The data collected by Calendly is used exclusively for the organisation and planning of portfolio reviews. This allows us to arrange appointments and communicate efficiently.
